I use this channel mainly to display my thoughts on martial arts and to be able to view our own material from anywhere I have access to the internet. Anyone may comment on my material as long as it's constructive. Should you have any constructive criticisme you'll be quite welcome to post it. It won't be removed like some people I know do. And it won't be judged before allowing it either. Nothing will be removed unless its content contains profanity or it's outright meant to insult and hurt people who are not able to give any feedback. We live in an imperfect world. So there will always be someminor or even large detail to comment on. And anyone is welcome to. But what I am especially looking for are those structurial details (little or big) that result in significant effects. For example zoneing strategems. I have come across certain martial arts material concerning self defense that I found to be misleading to the general public. In the very near future I will, with the help of a few students, demonstrate in videos of my own why they are misleading. I will also offer alternatives for the situations described. I have nothing against traditional martial arts. I'm instructor of one myself. However, I do feel that everything must be put in the right perspective. Do not call something self defense when it's meant to attain understanding about a certain principle, tactic or technique. Should you do that and you'll find yourself trying to execute it the way you learned. You'll be in for a big disappointment. Keep it real. Your local law enforcement agency might be willing to help you find a good one. We highly recommend against online self defense courses. Take them and risk your life. The science of movement is much too complex to be taught over the internet. Therefore there is no substitute for training with a skilled professional instructor present who can put your movements in the proper context and help you out with every little detail taking into account your current physical condition, your medical and sports history and even your cultural background. Self defense doesn't start with learning a few tricks or even physical conditioning. It starts with discerning what is real and usefull from what's not.
