The USA discontinued the Satin Silver controller so the only way I was able to obtain this color controller was from ordering off eBay from a foreign seller. I do not know why the USA discontinued, but I am sort of glad they did, The Hongkong/Japan version of this color has a WHITE PS sign, i like that better than the BLACK PS sign for the USA version. This is a Genuine SONY Dualshock 3 PS3 controller. I have had my share of fake ones and I did research so I know which ones are fake and real (Internally and externally/ Genuine boxing too). Mar 18, 2012 - @aaron25williams For a fake one, the back label is just a white paper sticker, while the real one is a plasterize smooth sticker, and the reset button on the fake (next to the top middle screw) usually is just open and has no reset button. Most of all you can tell from the inside part, real ones should a big and grey battery and the motherboard should say "toshiba" on it

Mar 18, 2012 - @Fulaeetoy Yes newer controllers show 500mAh but stores can still be sellingthe old ones that are 300mAh due to no one buying them yet, don't rely on the 300mAh being the genuine, rely on how the back label feels and look, it has to feel smooth and have a nice plasterize finish to it. My back label is the hong kong label so it looks different from The USA's. Also many fake ones have the same label as mine, but a lame white sticker paper. Mine is plasterized and feels nice
