松田隆智老師は、1938年、愛知県岡崎市の出身。 中学時代に空手と出会って以来、剛柔流空手、拳武館空手、大東流合気柔術、八光流などを学び、常に真の武術を追い求めてきた。 その間に触れた中国拳法の威力が心から離れず、日本で行われた形意拳の演武を見たのをきっかけに、1969年、初めて台湾に渡り形意拳を学ぶ。 1971年、２度目の台湾訪問では、蘇イク彰から八極拳、徐紀から陳氏太極拳を学ぶ。 1972年、３度目の台湾訪問。蘇イク彰より八極拳、徐紀から陳氏太極拳老架式、劉雲樵（りゅう・うんしょう）から燕青拳を学ぶ。 1973年、４度目の台湾訪問。劉雲樵より八卦掌を学ぶ。 1974年、八王子の日本空手道謙交塾内に武学研究会を開設して、陳氏太極拳を教伝。 1977年、「秘伝 陳家太極拳入門 老架式」を発行。 この小架式の映像は1980年10月にNHK「こちら情報部」に出演した時のもので、 当時、日本で陳氏太極拳の套路が一般に放映されたのは大変珍しいことであった。 今年で74歳になる現在もなお、武術の真髄を探求し続けて居られるという。
