Jun 30, 2011 - this is a great question. Fake is maybe the wrong word, suspect should be used maybe. Yes, later on in history you get ninja scrolls like the Ogigen (1800's version) which just talks about majic and esoteric things, and actually has nothing to do with war time ninjutsu. So the question is, are they fake? its real in history but the history is too late and the contents are too strange.

Tell me who occupies a castle, and why would be need to prepare to break in it to gather information? Its all out of date, we live stable lives. We can't understand the fear of a night raid, or how are we going to survive if our crops died, we don't have to deal with these worry's. If you want to learn "modern ninjutsu" join the military.
